Sacred Heart music ministry invites you to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord"
The Sacred Heart Music Department has six choirs with various instrumentations to select from. We want to hear from anyone who is interested in singing or playing an instrument so that we can help you select the appropriate choir for you to join. All of our music ministers find joy in serving God during our liturgies weekly. Why not think about tithing your time and joining us?
All are welcome.
Adult Traditional Choir
Adult traditional choir is made up of soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices with a repertoire of more traditional four part music accompanied by organ/piano and occasional strings or flute etc. Our singers do not necessarily have to read music, but will find it very helpful. We rehearse on Thursday nights at 7:30 PM and sing for the 10:00 AM Mass on Sundays. We have an extended obligation during Holy Week and at Christmas. This group is directed by our Parish Music Director, Kayla Glander 845-782-8510
Adult Folk Group
The Adult Folk Group is made up of singers and instruments, such as guitar, keyboard, and percussion etc. Our repertoire is made up of the more contemporary music best supported by this instrumentation. We rehearse on Friday nights at 7:30 PM and sing at the Sunday noon Mass. We also sing for First Communions and Confirmation, as well as support the R.C.I.A. functions. This group is directed by Sister Mary Josita who can be reach at 845-783-2251.
