In order to continue with this ministry we are in need of some help.
1. Looking for a volunteer 18 and over who would like to be the manager of our little farm here at Sacred Heart. Our current manager is transitioning to another job but would be happy to work with you until you are comfortable with the responsibilities. Please click here to let us know if you are interested.
2. Looking for a carpenter who can make some modifications to our barn. Please click here to let us know if you are interested.
"All creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful,
the Lord God made them all."
Welcome to the St. Francis Ministry! God has made us stewards of His creation. Sacred Heart is doing its part in caring for a few of His feathery and wooly creatures! Two chickens, two sheep named Eunice (ewe-ewe for short) and Agnes, two black potbellied pigs named Templeton & Bailey who are brother and sister, a pink pig named Blue, and two rabbits, all make up our little animal family.
The St. Francis Ministry gives people a chance to simply come and enjoy spending time with these amazing animals and to appreciate the God who made them. The care of the animals provides a nice opportunity for people to get involved with a rewarding ministry. Children who may not be able to have animals of their own as pets will be able to get involved in this wonderful educational opportunity as well. Come on out and pay a visit! Please see Fr. Tom for the access code to the key to the barn!
If you would like to help take care of the animals please send us an email. Donations to help pay for their feed and occasional visits to the vet are most appreciated!
