There are three ways to participate in our weekly collections. Each of the following is explained in detail below. You can sign up for any of these through the links on this page.
1. Arranging for automatic bill pay with your bank
2. WeShare
3. Envelopes
The first and most substantial means of support to the parish is the weekly collection at Mass. A number of options are available to you for your consideration below. Please note that automatic bill payments (direct withdrawal from your bank) and WeShare (formally called Parish Pay) provide additional benefits for Sacred Heart Parish. Weather, vacations, and other eventualities most often mean an unrecoverable loss of weekly income to Sacred Heart Parish. Taking advantage of one of these options would ensure a steady and consistent income to Sacred Heart and as a consequence to both the parish and the parishioner, allow for more effective budgeting and planning for the year.
1. Automatic Bill Payment/Direct Withdrawal:
This is Sacred Heart Parish’s preferred option. Unlike WeShare (see below) and credit cards which exact transaction fees from your contributions, all of your contributions would go to Sacred Heart Parish by taking advantage of this method. As a courtesy to customers many banks and credit unions offer a free online bill payment service. Just as you would do with any other bill, simply arrange for your bank, either online or in person, to automatically mail a weekly check to Sacred Heart Church at 26 Still Road, Monroe, New York 10950. You can set a specific amount to be deducted from your account each week. Please note that even though this method is automatic, you can always stop or change the amounts being deducted from your account to Sacred Heart at anytime. For more information on how to do this you can click here. It will take you to a website called e-how.
2. Online Giving or WeShare
In addition to the standard methods of contributing to the Sunday collections i.e. envelopes, check, or cash, like automatic bill pay (see above) WeShare (formally called ParishPay) will provide additional benefits to Sacred Heart Parish. Please keep in mind that like a credit card, WeShare enacts a small transaction fee in order to provide this service. This fee is offset by the increased giving that occurs through this process and also eliminates the cost of envelopes and other administrative costs associated with collections. We recommend selecting the checking/savings direct withdrawal option due to the very low transaction fees as oppossed to the option for debit or credit cards which tend to be higher.
3. Parish Envelopes: This is the most traditional and longstanding method of offering your weekly contribution. A box of envelopes for the year will be mailed to your home (the box of envelopes will include the 52 weeks of the year and all required second collections.) Your contribution as cash or check is put into the envelope and placed in the collection basket each week. You are also welcome to mail in your envelope to the parish if you are planning on being away or because of extenuating situations (weather, health…) that prevent you from coming to Mass. If you would like envelopes mailed to your home, please click here.
